You all did such a good job! Here are pictures from Saturday. These are pictures taken by the Times Free Press Here are the pictures I took:
It’s almost time for the Mainx24 Parade! The Offutt family has once again generously offered their home as a meeting place for us. For 6-8, this is a test grade. For 4-5, it’s extra credit. Here are the details:
December 2nd 2017 9:15-9:30 - Arrive at Offutt House. Here is the address: 1910 Rossville Ave. (the street that runs between the fire station and the Church on Main) Coming from the direction of Main Street, we are the 6th house on the left past the railroad tracks. Red 2 story house with wooden fence in front yard. There will be limited parking on the street near the house - look for a spot anywhere on Rossville or Main - we are just a couple blocks from Main Street so it's a short walk from Main, and also a very short walk to the park where the parade lines up. 9:30 - Students have instruments assembled and ready to play at the Offutt house. Cases should be left with family. We will walk to the parade location as a group. 10:00 - Students are in the parade spot. 10:30-11:30 - Students march in the Parade. We will play Up On the Housetop and Let’s go Lightning. 11:30 - Students are signed out by families at the Offutt House. Dress
In the event of rainy weather, students will wear a clear plastic poncho. I’ll have them available or you can bring your own. In previous years, students have had cookies and treats after the parade. Please contact me if you would like to bring treats, bottled water, or any other goodies for the students at 11:30. We need volunteers to walk with students to help keep us safe during the parade. We are beginning a very busy quarter. Our first concert is next week on October 26th at 6:00 pm. Here are the details:

7-8 Concert Band meets tomorrow, August 24th, from 2:20-3:300 instead of clubs. Please bring your instrument.
The first practice log is due on Tuesday for B days and Wednesday for A Days. Practice Logs must have what was practiced and for how long in order to receive full credit. 7-8 practices 45 minutes a week, and 6th grade practices 30 minutes a week. Here is a blank copy of a practice log that you may use. Using your own paper is fine as well.
